Est. as Krasnoyarsk Choreographic School in 1978, Krasnoyarsk Choreographic College is a pacesetting professional public academic institution with a college status since July 2, 2009. It operates under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture of Krasnoyarsk Krai. The history of Krasnoyarsk Choreographic School dates back to 1976 with the choreography department opened at Krasnoyarsk School of Arts. In 1978, almost simultaneously with the opening of Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theater, the department was transformed into an independent academic facility named Krasnoyarsk Choreographic School. The classic dance section trained ballet dancers for the theatre, the folk section — for Krasnoyarsk State Dance Ensemble of Siberia. St. Petersburg Genealogy Readings is a scientific conference that, since 1997, has been held at the Russian National Library annually in June. It is organized and conducted by the Institute of Genealogical Research of the Russian National Library (now the Genealogy Center) together with the Russian Genealogy Society. Its participants are experts in genealogy from St. Petersburg, other cities of Russia and the world. This conference, like the annual Savyolov readings organized by the Historical and Genealogical Society in Moscow, the annual conferences in Yekaterinburg is a kind of a showcase platform for the advances of the Russian genealogy, and keynote research areas.
